Alaska Information Hotline
Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
    Beginning in July 1996, the EPA resumed primary responsibility for regulation of hazardous waste management in the State of Alaska.

    For Hazardous Waste Information in Alaska:

    Please call EPA Region 10 Hazardous Waste Hotline staff person, Xiang-Yu Ge (pronounced Shawn-U G) at 206-553-2859 during EPA business hours (8 am-5 pm PST Monday-Friday) or leave a voicemail message and your call will be returned.


    For Oil & Chemical Spills:
    To Report Oil & Chemical Spills call the National Response Center (NRC) 24 Hour National Spill Reporting Line at 1-800-424-8802.

    EPA REGION 10 also maintains a 24 Hour Spill Reporting Number
    (206) 553-1263. Please use this for spills and other environmental emergencies only. Spill notification received over this line will be forwarded to the National Response Center. Through this number, an EPA Region 10 Duty Officer may be reached directly 24 hours a day.
