Census 2000 Population Profile Maps [PDF]

Description:

The U.S. Census Bureau's Census 2000 Profile maps present a graphic overview of several demographic statistics collected as part of Census 2000. In addition to a population density map, each page includes a pie chart showing racial characteristics, a population pyramid, and a bar chart illustrating housing occupancy rates. The map series consists of one page-sized map for each state in the United States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, as well as a national map. These maps are designed to supplement the Census 2000 Profiles. Each map is available as part of a Census 2000 Profile brochure, which also includes tables summarizing selected demographic, social, economic, and housing characteristics. Select "Census 2000 Profiles" on the left hand side of the screen, then choose the brochure you want to view or download on the right hand side.

The naming convention for these maps is 'XX_2K_Profile.pdf' where XX represents the respective postal abbreviation (i.e. Maryland = MD_2K_Profile.pdf').
