Orleans County, La., had the biggest over-the-year percentage increase in employment
(5.0 percent) in March 2008; nationally, jobs grew 0.4 percent. Westmoreland, Pa.,
had the largest gain in average weekly wages (14.9 percent) in the first quarter of
2008, compared with a national increase of 2.4 percent.
