CS Manila celebrates World Trade Month

On May 26, 2008, CS Manila brought together its key business and trade contacts in the Philippines at a major World Trade Month reception hosted by U.S. Ambassador Kristie Kenney.  Senior Commercial Officer (SCO) Judy Reinke, together with Deputy SCO Tom Brennan and the staff of Commercial Service Manila greeted over 80 American and Filipino business leaders and partners during the event and used the opportunity to deepen ties with contacts from as far away as Cebu, Davao and Cagayan de Oro in Southern Philippines.   Ambassador Kenney gave remarks during the event highlighting the importance of trade to the bilateral relations of the two countries, and used the occasion to recognize the contributions of three key partners who have distinguished themselves as supporters of U.S. exports into the Philippines. The recognized organizations were: the Rustans Group of Companies, the Philippine Franchise Association and the American Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines.
