Guidances The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
Interim Guidance on Wind Power was published in 2003 and is
the agency's official guidance on wind power development. Plans
are currently being implemented to form a committee and update this
interim guidance. Given that our knowledge in this area is changing
rapidly, we have provided links to guidance developed by other agencies.
These can also be considered in developing the best possible protocols
for a specific site. We also strongly recommend that project developers
contact our local Field Office for site specific informaiton and
additional assistance. Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies: Wind
