Sepheen C. Byron, M.H.S.
Sepheen C. Byron, M.H.S., received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her Master of Health Science in Health Policy degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. She is particularly interested in outcomes research and the economic evaluation of health care interventions. At COE, she is working on the Research Initiative in Clinical Economics (RICE) and selected intramural research projects.
Prior to graduate work, Ms. Byron was a project manager at the Cancer Research Foundation of America, where she aided in the development, implementation, and evaluation of cancer prevention and early-detection programs. Throughout her studies, she has focused on how the structure, delivery and financing of health care systems affect health outcomes and quality of care. In addition, she has concentrated on how to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of health services and how to use these findings to promote evidence-based decisionmaking.
