HONOLULU FIELD STATION STAFF

TMW Thierry Work is a wildlife disease specialist and project leader of the Honolulu Field Station. He has a BS degree in entomology from Texas A&M University, a masters of science in entomology from University of California, Davis (UCD) and a doctor of veterinary medicine and a masters of preventive veterinary medicine from UCD. He completed a residency in wildlife medicine at UCD and worked for California Department of Fish and Game as a wildlife veterinarian before coming to Hawaii in 1992.
RAR Bob Rameyer is a biological technician. He has a BS degree in biology from Iowa State University. He worked as a technician for the US Department of Agriculture in Iowa and the National Wildlife Health Center in Wisconsin before coming to Hawaii in 1994. Bob heads up day to day operations of the HFS and generally keeps the wheels on the cart.
JD Julie Dagenais is a biological technician. Julie has a diploma in Ecological Technology from Vanier College in Montreal, Quebec (Canada). She worked at the Canada National Research Council-Biotechnology Institute and at the Nunavut Research Institute before coming to Hawaii in 2004. Julie is working on developing laboratory techniques to better our understanding of wildlife diseases.
JD Renee Eismueller is a biological technician. Renee has a BS degree in biology from University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point. She worked as a supervisory zookeeper at a butterfly house and water quality lab manager in a water treatment plant and Ocean Journey Aquarium in Colorado before coming to Hawaii in 2006. Renee coordinates sample shipments and data management for avian influenza surveillance in the Pacific islands.
