The Branch of Program and Information Management (BPIM) develops and maintains Service policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and plans relating to: Information Technology (IT) project management, configuration management and asset management, capital planning and investment control, records management, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act, enterprise software licensing agreements, hardware blanket purchase agreements, and internal control reviews. This office oversees development, maintenance and submission of the Service’s IT portfolio and capital asset plans. The branch implements Federal and Departmental mandates and ensures Service alignment to the IT Investment Management criteria of the Department of the Interior’s (DOI) E-Gov Scorecard. This Branch represents the Service on the DOI Capital Planning Coordinators committee.
