"Diversity includes a number of important human characteristics that affect an individual's values and opportunities and perceptions of self and others at work. These characteristics include, but are not limited to age, ethnicity, gender, ability, race, sexual orientation, religion, and family status."
FPD Diversity Council Policy
The Flight Programs and Projects Directorate (FPD) management team is committed
to establishing and maintaining an organizational climate where each member
of the Directorate is respected, valued and appreciated for the differences
and similarities they have to offer and for their contributions to accomplishing
the Directorate's mission. We will strive to capitalize on our differences
and similarities to foster a positive and dynamic organizational environment
while modeling the Center's core values. We will support policies, programs
and procedures that remove any barriers to meeting our diversity objectives.
We encourage the development of personal and professional competencies that
reflect our commitment to diversity and which will provide the leadership
required for leading a multicultural organization. We will endeavor to ensure
that our individual actions support this diversity policy statement.
