Objective:
The objective of this cooperative research project is to develop new strategies to induce cross protective immunity to avian coccidiosis using unique molecular vaccines developed by the Guardian Biotechnologies Company.

Approach:
ARS developed a vaccination strategy using an in ovo delivery system which which will be used to immunize chickens with immunogenic proteins of parasites. In this project, ARS will immunize birds using various vaccines which are developed by Guardian Biotechnology, Inc., and evaluate host immune responses.
