National Information

Reducing mercury in the Great Lakes and in the lakes and rivers of the Region 5 states is a high priority for EPA Region 5. These pages provide information about mercury in Region 5, including Fish Consumption Advisories for locally-caught fish and information about the effort to protect the Great Lakes from mercury through the through the Great Lakes Binational Toxics Strategy Mercury Workgroup, a cooperative effort between U.S. EPA Mercury and Environment Canada.
