Product & Program Specifications
Products bearing the WaterSense label
are generally 20 percent more water-efficient than similar products
in the marketplace. The WaterSense label will help you identify
high-performance, water-efficient products and professional certification
programs that embrace and encourage the use of water-efficient design.
EPA issues specifications that set out the requirements that products
and programs must meet to earn the WaterSense label:

products.

page for more information on how EPA develops specifications for
water-efficient products and programs.
Product Certification
WaterSense is drafting a process for accrediting licensed certifying
bodies that certify products to meet WaterSense specifications.
Proposed accreditation and product certification requirements are
contained in the draft WaterSense certification scheme that will
eventually replace the interim licensed certifying body approval
process put in place in January 2007. Visit the draft
WaterSense certification scheme page to learn more.
