Action (Application/Receipts)
Action pertaining to a particular vest type may be the following:

  • Add to Application: By clicking this link the program will add this particular vest model to your application.
  • LEA Contacts: This link will allow you to view what other applicants have added this vest style to their application.
  • NIJ Test Results: You will be taken to a outside website (the National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center, where you can review or request the test data for this vest model.

    Add Vendor

    If the "Vendor" is not found in the scrolling list, then it will be necessary to complete the bottom "Add Vendor" portion of the form

    Agency Type (Registration)
    An agency's duty or function. Following are the Types of Agencies:

  • Prosecution: An agency that conducts legal proceedings against a person.
  • Public Defender: A lawyer(s) appointed to represent individuals in a criminal case at public expense.
  • Police: An agency that maintains order, prevents and detects crime, and enforces the law.
  • Courts: An agency that administers legal justice.
  • Probation/Parole: An agency that investigates and reports on offenders who are free on probation or parole.
  • Juvenile Correction: An agency that deals with convicted offenders that are generally under the age of 18 years.
  • Local Adult Corrections: A city, town or other district agency that deals with convicted offenders that generally are over the age of 18 years.
  • State Adult Corrections: An agency of a state that deals with convicted offenders that generally are over the age of 18 years.
  • Animal Control: An officer that enforces the laws pertaining to directing or regulating the use of animals.
  • Constable: A law enforcement officer having minor police and judicial functions.
  • Coroner: An officer whose chief function is to investigate any death not clearly resulting from natural causes.
  • Customs: A law enforcement officer which deals with duties on imported or exported good.
  • Game Warden: A law enforcement officer that enforces laws for the conservation of game.
  • Fire/Health: Law enforcement officers which are associated arson or health institutions.
  • Investigations: A law enforcement officer that uses inquiries for ascertaining facts about a crime.
  • Marshal: A law enforcement officer or an administrative officer of a judicial district.
  • Ranger: A law enforcement officer that enforces the laws of a forest or park.
  • Other: An agency not covered under any of the agencies listed above.

    Amount Available for Additional Requests (Receipts)
    The unused portion of an applicant's approved funding.

    Application Status for Jurisdiction

  • Sent for Chief Executive's approval: LEA application has been submitted to the Chief Executive for approval.
  • Approved by Chief Executive: LEA application has been approved by the Chief Executive.
  • Not approved by Chief Executive: LEA application has not been approved by the Chief Executive.
  • Open Application: An application where changes are permitted and has not been finalized and submitted to the jurisdiction.

    Application Status for LEA's


  • Sent for Chief Executive's approval: LEA application has been submitted to the Chief Executive for approval.
  • Approved by Chief Executive: LEA application has been approved by the Chief Executive.
  • Not approved by Chief Executive: LEA application has not been approved by the Chief Executive.
  • Open Application: An application where changes are permitted and has not been finalized and submitted to the jurisdiction.
  • Re-Opened Application: An application where changes are permitted that has been previously submitted to the jurisdiction.
