Refining Your Search with the Category and Subcategory Fields

The simple search includes a Category field. This field lists broad regulatory arenas into which photographs in the gallery are classified (such as Nuclear Reactor, Nuclear Materials, Nuclear Waste, and Commission). To refine your search with this feature, simply

  2. Select from the Subcategory field to view a list of only those photos within that subcategory for the category.
  3. Enter a word or phrase in the text search box above the Category field to further refine your search within a particular category and subcategory.

Search Hints and Tips

  1. Words or phrases entered in the text search box will be compared against the description (caption) and keyword fields for matches.
  2. Search conditions are cumulative. A photo must match all the fields specified in order to appear in the results list.
  3. Occasionally, you may need to press the Search button after selecting a new value in the Category, Subcategory, or one of the Advanced Option fields if the screen does not refresh automatically.
  4. Whenever you find no matches to your search, whether using the simple or advanced search options, simply press Reset to clear all fields and start over again.
