The Purchaser's Guide to Clinical Preventive Services is
developed in collaboration between the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Business Group on
Health. The guide provides large employers with information that
can be used to help select, define, and implement preventive
medical benefits. Among the information included in the guide is
a section about newborn hearing screening (document pages
169-175). Each section includes summaries about the economic
impact of the relevant condition and what is known about costs
and benefits of the interventions being recommended.
We are not able to answer personal medical
questions. Please see your health care provider concerning appropriate care,
treatment, or other medical advice.
