- Wind direction is instantaneous. Direction is clockwise from true north (360 or 000). Direction refers to where the wind is blowing from.
- Wind speed is a two minute average. Peak wind is highest in previous 2 minutes.
- Precipitation counter is reset at 6:00 AM CST or 6AM CDT each day. Rainfall must total at least 0.01 inch to measure.
- Heat Index is only reported in remarks when the temperature is 80ºF or higher.
- The wind chill is reported in remarks when the temperature is 50ºF or less and winds are not calm.
