Evaluation Resources Toolbox for Stakeholder and Public Involvement at EPA
Contains summaries of nearly forty evaluations and reports focused on the public involvement activities of EPA and other agencies. Each summary is searchable by environmental topic, and describes the focus of the evaluation, data collection methods, and key findings and recommendations. This Toolbox provides summaries for most documents included in the list of references found in the report entitled Stakeholder Involvement and Public Participation at U.S. EPA (PDF Format 150 KB) as well as additional works not available during the development of this report.
The Toolbox has been designed to enable EPA staff and regulatory partners to quickly:
- Learn about public involvement evaluations EPA has produced since the 1990s;
- Learn about other recent evaluations or studies relevant to EPA and its partners produced by other agencies or researchers;
- Enhance public involvement practice by enabling easy review of key evaluation findings and recommendations; and
- Improve agency evaluation practice by clarifying the different types of methodologies used to develop the evaluations.
Summaries of the evaluation reports have been sorted two ways - by topic and alphabetical order. Using either list, click on the report that interests you. You will then be provided with a synopsis and a direct link to the report when available.
