Recreation and Cultural Heritage

Ruins of Crown Point The Lake Champlain Basin's rich recreation and cultural resources provide innumerable benefits to those who live within and visit the Basin. Recreation resources include Lake Champlain Bikeways, the Lake Champlain Birding Trail, the Lake Champlain Paddlers' Trail, scenic byways and the many fishing and boating opportunities on the Lake. Cultural resources abound around and in Lake Champlain, which is often called "North America's most historic lake." The LCBP's Wayside Exhibit program is a fascinating way to learn about these resources around the Lake.
