NIOSH Research Grant Program
The overall goal of NIOSH is the prevention of illnesses, injuries, and
deaths caused by hazards on the job. Recognizing the valuable contributions
of extramural scientists to this endeavor, NIOSH sponsors research through
a grants program, which complements the Institute's intramural research
program. The creativity and special resources available in the scientific
community make the grants program an important component in achieving
the Nation's goal to have safe jobs and healthy workers.
