Welcome to the TETON DIVISION

The Teton Division, consisting of the Jackson and Buffalo Ranger Districts and totaling 1.41 million acres, was established in 1908 as a National Forest.

Located in western Wyoming, the Teton Division borders Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, and is easily accessed from the town of Jackson, WY.

We make up part of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, and contain the Gros Ventre and Teton Wilderness Areas.

Within the Forest, you'll find several impressive mountain ranges, countless rivers highlighted by the mighty Snake River, and a variety of exceptional, year-round recreational opportunities.
