GOVERNOR KICKS OFF RED KETTLE DONATION DRIVE

November 19 - Governor Lingle and Lt. Governor Aiona kicked off the 'season of giving' at the launch of the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Bell Ringing donation drive.
 
The Salvation Army supports important programs that help a wide range of Hawai`i residents, including food and financial assistance for families, preschool," said Governor Lingle.

"I hope you will embrace the true spirit of the season by giving back to others in need," she added.

The Salvation Army operates three "corps community centers" on O`ahu, two on Maui, three on the Big Island, two on Kaua`i and one in Guam.  Last year, the Salvation Army in Hawai`i assisted 97,932 people
