CCC at Fort Pulaski

National Public Lands Day,the nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008. This year also marks the 75th anniversary of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Registration begins Saturday at 7:00 AM at the Fort Pulaski Picnic Area.  Free breakfast will be served during registration.  Work projects will last from 8 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a free lunch.  Volunteers should be prepared to work outdoors.  Sturdy shoes, comfortable clothing, gloves, and insect repellant. In observance of National Public Lands Day, entrance fees will be waived.

 
146th Anniversary
Fort Pulaski National Monument will host a special two-day event to commemorate the 146th Anniversary of the Battle of Fort Pulaski on April 12-13, 2008. Events are scheduled inside the fort and at Battery Park on Tybee Island.

Living History Days at Fort Pulaski

History comes alive at Fort Pulaski! The NPS and Fort Pulaski National Monument present Living History Days every Saturday. Guided tours, Musket & Soldier demonstrations, and hourly cannon firings highlight this exciting day. Activites are scheduled from 10:00am until 4:00pm.

Fort Pulaski National Monument presents daily interpretive programs including Ranger-guided fort tours at 11:00am & 3:00pm, as well as Musket & Soldier demonstrations at 12:00, 2:00, & 4:00pm.
