Most national forest system lands are open, free of charge for your use
and enjoyment. Entrance and user fees may be charged at some areas.
ENTRANCE FEES are required for entering designated federal recreation areas such as National Parks and National Monuments. Entrance fees can be paid each time you visit a forest or grassland, or you can use a special pass, such as the America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Lands Recreation Pass.
America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Lands Recreation Pass
This pass covers entrance fees or standard amenity fees at sites managed by USDA Forest Service, National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation. It cannot be used at any state or county park or facility.
Valid for one full year from month of purchase.
Provides entrance or access to pass holder and accompanying passengers in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle at Federally operated recreation sites across the country.
Covers the pass holder and three (3) accompanying adults age 16 and older at sites where per person entrance fees are charged. No entry fee for children 15 and under.
Photo identification may be required to verify ownership.
Passes are NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
Fees vary widely across the thousands of Federal Recreation sites. Please contact us directly for information on what is or is not covered.
If you are 62 or older or receive disability benefits, you may be eligible for the Senior or Access pass.
If you plan to use a specialized facility (camping, parking, boat launch, ramps, swimming site, etc.) in the forest, you may have to pay a USER FEE. Please contact us for information on fees, passes or permits necessary for use of recreation areas on the Fishlake National Forest.
Federal Interagency Senior and Access Pass Information (printable pdf document) - These passes are issued to United States citizens or permanent residents only. Senior passes are for persons over 62 years old. Access passes are for persons that have a permanent disability. These passes must be purchased at one of the Fishlake National Forest Offices
