Interactive Atlas of Reproductive Health: Map Tools and Functions

Pan Tool - Button showing arrows in all directions Pan—activate the Pan Tool by clicking once on the tool icon. The active icon will appear depressed. Click on the area of the map where you would like the map to be centered. The map will re-center in the new location.
Zoom Tool - Button showing a magnifying glass with a plus sign Zoom In—activate the Zoom In Tool by clicking once on the tool icon. The active icon will appear depressed. Click on the area of the map that you would like to view closer. The map will zoom in proportionally and re-center the map in the location where you clicked. Repeat the click in the center of the map to zoom in closer.
Zoom Tool - Button showing a magnifying glass with a minus sign Zoom Out—activate the Zoom Out Tool by clicking once on the tool icon. The active icon will appear depressed. Click on the area of the map that you would like to view further out. The map will zoom out proportionally and re-center to the location where you clicked. Repeat the click in the center of the map to zoom out further.
Identify Tool - Button showing an letter "i" Identify—activate the Identify Tool by clicking once on the tool icon. The active icon will appear depressed. Select a map feature in the active layer, and click on it. The feature will be highlighted in yellow, and a new window will appear containing additional information on the feature you selected.
Note: Be sure to click near the center of the map feature when using this tool to insure selection of the proper data.
Click the Find Tool to locate a map feature in the active layer(s) by typing in its name Find—click on the arrow in the list box next to the Find Tool. Select the name of a feature you wish to find. The map will highlight the selected feature, and will zoom in and re-center, if necessary.
Original Map - globe with magnifying glass Original Map—click on the Original Map Tool to redraw to the original map. This redraws the map to the default view of the currently selected indicator.
Print Tool - Button showing a small printer Print/Save—click the Print/Save Tool to display the current map in a printer friendly format. The display can then be directed either to your printer or saved as a PDF document.
Note: Close the new panel after you have saved or printed the map.
Refresh Tool - Button showing two curved arrows pointing on opposite directions Refresh—click the Refresh Tool to redraw the current map.
Note: This is useful if a map does not display correctly.
