OCTAGON HOUSE
- Located at 18th and New York Avenue, N.W. Architectural exhibits. The Octagon House
served as James Madison's White House following the destruction of the real White House by

Designed by a 21-year-old Yale student whose design was selected in a
national competition. Constructed of black
granite to honor all Americans who served in the Vietnam War. As a special tribute to
those who did not return, the names of more than 58,000 who gave their lives or who remain
missing are inscribed in the Memorial's walls. The names are in chronological order.

WOLF TRAP PARK FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
Virginia Route 7, near Vienna, VA. The nation’s first
national park for the performing arts offers opera, symphony music, pop
concerts, rock, folk, jazz, and ballet. Concerts are given all winter in
the Barn, which has 3,500 indoor seats. The Filene Center has
