ELF: Epitope Location Finder

Purpose: ELF searches a submitted protein sequence for the occurrence of any epitopes known from our immunology database. In addition, peptides within the protein, "potential epitopes," whose sequence agrees with the consensus binding motifs of the submitted HLAs are also displayed.

Details: Select one or more genotypes and/or serotypes from the lists. Then paste your protein sequence (in raw format, i.e., only the amino acids themselves) into the text box. When "Show all epitopes" is checked, ELF will find all known epitopes in our database within the bounds of your submitted protein regardless of their HLA. (Any epitopes that agree with your submitted HLAs will be flagged.) If you uncheck this box, the program will find only known database epitopes whose serotype/genotype agrees with your submitted HLAs. For more information, see ELF Explanation.
