NSARC "World of Work": In January 2007, NSARC chartered a Task Force to rewrite the National SAR Supplement (NSS) to the IAMSAR Manual. The Task Force developed a way to describe the various types of SAR the member agencies conduct. This short presentation describes our SAR World of Work.
The NSARC Research and Development Working Group has developed a document entitled "Rescue for the Next Century." It was designed as a guide to assist agencies with long-range planning for SAR requirements and capabilities. It provides an interesting glimpse at what the future of SAR may be like.
