STCW 95 has been amended, and the amended material is not contained within this document. Amendment 1 to STCW 95 entered into force January 1, 1999. Major Change:

The addition Regulation V/3, and Section A-V/3, on the training and qualifications of masters, officers, ratings and other personnel on passenger ships other than ro-ro passenger ships. As well as the addition of Table A-V/2, on the specifications of minimum standards of competence in crisis management and human behavior.
