Nautical Almanac - For Deck Examination Purposes Only Full - | Full |
Download the Nautical Almanac in one download (Full: 60MB) or in
four smaller, easier downloads (Parts 1-4: 15MB each) This revised copy of the Nautical Almanac has had nearly all references to the year 1981 removed. This action precedes the removal of the year 1981 from all celestial navigation questions which will take place in the Summer 2008. All other editions of the 1981 Nautical Almanac used in conjunction with licensed deck examinations can still be used to answer questions and are allowed in the examination room until further notice. |
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 |
The Coast Guard periodically develops new questions for use on its license and documentation examinations as regulations are developed and/or changed. Other questions are developed, reflecting changes in technology in the maritime industry. Additionally, questions used by the Coast Guard are revised to increase clarity by adding and/or deleting punctuation or through the rewording of the questions and its answers. Periodically, questions as described above will be published in this section as indicated by the month of publication. New questions published in this section will begin to be used on licensing and documentation examinations 30 days following their publication. The public is encouraged to read through all questions and submit comments on specific questions to the National Maritime Center. When questions are developed and/or revised, they will be listed below with the month and year they are made available.
