„Buch Wien" is a NEW BOOK FAIR in Vienna, Austria, from November 20 to 23, 2008. The event will be organised by Reed Messe Wien in cooperation with the Austrian Publishers’ and Booksellers’ Organisation. It combines a show for a large audience with a reading festival that turns the city of Vienna into a big stage for literature and books. It addresses everybody who loves books and is curious about writers, new titles and the highlights of the publisher's fall programmes.

Exhibitors will be publishers from Austria, Germany, Switzerland and, with special emphasis, from all of Central and Southeastern Europe.

"Buch Wien Extended" is a thematic focus put on the region of Central and Southeastern Europe and the topic of translation and cultural diversity, including a professional conference and a programme to network authors and publishers across regional and language barriers.
