Welcome Aboard

Welcome to Astoria Oregon. We are pleased to welcome you to the Astoria area and look forward to your arrival. Your new assignment should be both challenging and rewarding. The history of Coast Guard service in the Pacific Northwest, and particularly in the Columbia River area, is long and distinguished.

It is important that you plan ahead for your arrival in Clatsop County. Although temporary housing may be found in the area, availability is often limited. Camp Rilea is the only government facility in the area that provides temporary lodging (503) 861-4051. If unable to make reservations at Camp Rilea, you should be financially prepared to stay in commercial facilities until you can obtain permanent residence. Please contact the Group Housing Office, (503) 325-0203, for assistance with your housing concerns.

Have a safe and enjoyable journey to Astoria, and we look forward to serving with you.
