Nutrition Tips

Eating Healthy When Eating Out

  • Start your meal with a salad packed with vegetables.
  • Photo of a woman chopping vegetables.
     
  • Ask for salad dressing to be served on the side.
  •  
     
  • Choose main dishes that include vegetables.
  •  
     
  • Order at least 2 vegetables with your meal.
  •  
     
  • Order steamed, grilled, or broiled dishes instead of fried dishes.
  •  
     
  • Order an item from the menu instead of heading for the "all-you-can-eat" buffet.
  •  
     
  • When your food is delivered, set aside or pack half of it to go immediately.
  •  
     

Fast Food

  • Choose salad selections for your entree and fruit or yogurt for dessert.
     
  • Order bottled water, and choose small sized menu combos.
