Teacher Quality Enhancement Grants - More About the Programs

| Title II of the Higher Education Amendments of 1998 creates three Teacher Quality Enhancement Grant programs designed to increase student achievement through comprehensive approaches to improving teacher quality. | This application will be used to award grants to local education agencies, state education agencies, or partnerships with a local or state education agency for the purpose of creating a performance-based compensation system for teachers and principals. Comments are invited and are due on or before May 30, 2006. |
