About the Program

The Women's Wellness Center is the perfect setting for the delivery of state-of-the-art gender specific healthcare at Northport VAMC. In the Center one will find Women's Primary Care and Gynecology Clinics available as well as psychology, social work, and nutrition services. Preventive health screenings (breast and pelvic exams, Pap smear, HPV and STD testing, etc.), health education, specialty clinic referrals, are readily accessible to all eligible women. From infertility interventions (limited in scope), contraceptive needs, to menopause management, women's healthcare is provided by skilled, sensitive and caring VA clinicians. Referrals can be made for eligible women veterans to receive maternity care with Stony Brook University Dept. of OB/GYN. Also, mammography services are accessed for eligible participants at 4 of Long Island's finest providers of full spectrum breast healthcare services.
