The safety management program is designed to support patients’ safety and effective care by providing reliable information that allows facility management and staff to make better safety decisions and to evaluate key issues and opportunities for improvement of safety performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify inherent safety risks associated with providing services for patients, the performance of daily activities by staff, and the physical environment in which services occur
Plan, teach, implement, respond, measure/evaluate, and improve cycle encompassing the identification, analysis, resolution, and monitoring and evaluation of safety-related risks within the environment of care.
Investigate each safety hazard, accident, and injury as soon as possible when reported to the Safety Office to eliminate and reduce such incidents
