Fire Prevention

Prevention of wildfires is important in protecting life, property and resources. But while not all fires are preventable--there will always be lightning fires affecting our landscape--our efforts focus on preventing unwanted and uncontrolled human-caused fires on our National Forests.

If you live or recreate on or near a National Forest or other wildlands, there are things you can do to help prevent wildfires or to help your home survive a wildfire.
