Trail and Commercial Pack Stock Management in the Ansel Adams and John Muir Wildernesses EIS

This project is a joint Inyo/Sierra National Forest project that analyzes commercial pack stock use in the Ansel Adams and John Muir Wildernesses. The final EIS and decision were released in December 2005. They identified levels and terms of commercial pack stock use in these two wildernesses.

Project Update 5/3/2006: The Record of Decision and Final EIS are now available for review.

Commercial Pack Station and Pack Stock Outfitter/Guide Permit Issuance EIS

This project analyzes commercial pack station operations and activities in the Golden Trout and South Sierra Wildernesses and non-wilderness portions of the Inyo National Forest. The EIS for this project tiers to the Trail and Commercial Pack Stock Management EIS in that the project will authorize the uses and levels of commercial pack stock in the Ansel Adams and John Muir Wildernesses.
