GENERAL PROJECT INFORMATION

The Horse Creek Fuel Reduction and Forest Health Project is located approximately 13 miles southwest of Bishop, California on Highway 168 and approximately 1 mile north of the community of Aspendell.

The Horse Creek Fuel Reduction and Forest Health Project is designed to achieve a more desired condition where older, larger trees are dominant features on the landscape and the seral diversity of the shrub-plant layer is increased through the use of prescribed fire.
