The Natcher Conference Center is part of the
National Institutes of Health (NIH) and is located in the Natcher
Building on the NIH campus in Bethesda, Maryland. Visitor parking
is very limited but if you must drive, short-term metered parking
may be available near the Natcher Conference Center in Lot B. Please
visit
http://dtts.ors.od.nih.gov/parking_info.htm to see the location
of visitor parking areas. The Natcher Building is located at 45
Center Drive and is a 5-minute walk from the Medical Center Station
on the Red Line.
Messages can be left for conference participants between the hours
of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. by calling (301) 496-9966–extension 211.
Faxes can be sent to (301) 480-5982.
The NIH, like all Federal Government facilities, has recently instituted
new security measures to ensure the safety of NIH employees, patients,
and visitors. All visitors entering the Natcher Building must show
two forms of ID; one must be a photo ID. All visitors should be
prepared to have their personal belongings inspected and to go through
a metal detection inspection (wand, magnetometer, etc). You are
strongly encouraged to take public transportation to the NIH campus
as there are very few visitor parking spaces available.
