Traumatic Brain InjuryTraumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is caused by a blow or a jolt to the head or a penetrating head injury that disrupts the function of the brain. Not all blows or jolts to the head result in a TBI.
Spinal Cord InjuryAny injury to the spinal cord via blunt or penetrating trauma. Such injury may produce weakness, paralysis, or loss of sensation. Such neurological symptoms may be temporary or permanent.
Blast InjuryInjury is caused by the high speed impact on the body of either solid objects or a shock wave of compressed, high pressure air.
Accidents & Other InjuriesIncludes other kinds of combat injuries, accidents (such as vehicle accidents, falls, etc.), and climatic injuries (heat, cold, altitude).
