Violation: THERE IS NO MICROBIOLOGICAL TEST AND NO PORT SUPPLIED TEST RESULT FOR E. COLI BACTERIA WHEN THE SHIP BUNKERS WATER. THERE WERE NO POTABLE WATER SAMPLES COLLECTED FROM RANDOM AREAS OF THE SHIP AND ANALYZED FOR THE PRESENCE OF E. COLI BACTERIA. THE SHIP STAFF STATED THE ONBOARD TEST KIT HAS BEEN ORDERED.
Recommendation:Provide an approved test kit to conduct microbiological testing of the potable water.
