Site: Other-MAIN POOL
Violation: A LENGTH OF ROPE WAS NOT ATTACHED TO THE FLOATATION DEVICE. A SHEPHERD'S HOOK WAS NOT PROVIDED AT THIS POOL.
Recommendation:Attach a lengh of rope 1.5 time the diameter of the pool to the floatation device. 6.4.1.2.1 Easy access shepherd's hook and approved floatation device shall be provided at a prominent location near each public swimming pool.
Site: Other-PORT WHIRLPOOL SPA
Violation: THE DRAIN COVER WAS CRACKED IN THIS SPA.
Recommendation:Replace the drain cover. Ensure that the replacement cover is anti-vortex in design.
Site: Other-WHIRLPOOL SPAS
Violation: THERE WERE SEVERAL DAYS WHERE THE PH LEVELS IN THE SPAS WERE TESTED AT 7.0 AND 8.0. AS PER THE ENGINEER, TEST STRIPS ARE USED AND THE SENSITIVITY LEVEL OF THE STRIPS MAY ACCOUNT FOR THESE RESULTS.
Recommendation:6.3.1.2.2 The whirlpool spa water shall be maintained with a pH between 7.2 and 7.8. Use an appropriate test kit to measure the pH levels in the whirlpool spas, and pools.
Site: Other-CREW POOL
Violation: AN ANTI-VORTEX DRAIN COVER WAS NOT PROVIDED AT THE CREW POOL. THIS WAS NOTED DURING THE LAST INSPECTION. THE CREW POOL WAS AN ADDITION AFTER THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE VESSEL. THE DRAIN COVER WAS ON ORDER AND SHOULD ARRIVE APRIL, 2004 IN FT. LAUDERDALE.
Recommendation:6.4.1.2.2 Anti-vortex drain covers shall be provided on swimming pools and whirlpool spas.
Site: Other-WHIRLPOOL SPAS
Violation: CORE SAMPLES WERE NOT COLLECTED FOR THE SEDIMENTATION TESTS ON THE WHIRLPOOL GRANULAR FILTERS.
Recommendation:6.3.1.1.5 The granular filters shall be opened at least monthly and examined for cracks, mounds, or holes in the filter media. A core sample of the filter media shall be inspected for excessive organic material accumulation using a recommended sedimentation method.
