Site:
Potable Water-Comprehensive Cross-Connection Control Program
Violation:
The air gap for the high saline overboard discharge was not listed in the comprehensive cross-connection control program.
Recommendation:
Ensure that the cross-connection control program includes at minimum: a complete listing of cross-connections and the backflow prevention method/device for each, so that there is a match to the plumbing system component and location, and an inspection frequency. Ensure that air-gaps are included in the listing.
Site:
Potable Water-Bunkering
Violation:
The bunkering records did not indicate that a 2.0 ppm chlorine residual was reached within 30 minutes.
Recommendation:
Ensure that accurate records of this monitoring are maintained aboard for 12 months and are available to the VSP for review during inspections.
*Inspections scores of 85 or lower are NOT satisfactory
