Constituent Services - Internships

U.S. Capitol at night

Senator Warner is no longer accepting applications for internships.

The Senate Intern Program is a tradition that has been part of the United States Congress for many years. In the Senate, interns provide a valuable service that not only renders substantial assistance to Senators and staff, but often enables them to personally assist the citizens of their state in a variety of ways. In return, interns gain a unique insight into a behind-the-scenes look at the legislative process.

Through their experiences in Senator Warner's office, interns leave Washington with a greater understanding of the workings of democracy and the United State Senate. This is an exciting time in the history of our nation. Much of the debate about issues that will shape our future is taking place within the halls of Congress, and interns who serve here get to watch it all from a front row seat.

To be considered for an internship with the Washington, D.C. office or one of the State Offices, candidates must forward a cover letter, resume and as well as an application to the Internship Coordinator and list the dates that he/she will be available to work. Internships are available on a fall, winter/spring, and summer basis.
