Domotex, held annually in Hannover, Germany is the standout tradeshow for professionial buyers from around the world. No other floor coverings trade fair offers such a wealth of innovations and such an international audience. This is evidenced by the fact that 78% of exhibitors and 56% of visitors were from countries other than Germany. Last year's show set new records and was ttended by 47,000 trade visitors from more than 62 nations. There were 1,442 exhibitors occupying some 97,083 square meters of display space.
DOMOTEX began in 1989 and quickly established itself as the industry's flagship trade show. Last year 36 U.S. firms exhibited at DOMOTEX.
U.S. Department of Commerce Cooperation
The 2009 Domotex trade show has been granted Trade Fair Certification by the U.S. Department of Commerce. The fair organizer, Messe Hannover, is organizing the United States Exhibitor Pavilion at the trade show.
Trade Fair Certification is a cooperative arrangement between private sector trade show organizers and the U.S. government to increase U.S. exports and expand U.S. participation in overseas trade shows.
U.S. exhibitors also receive export assistance services from the U.S. Commercial Service, with its domestic export assistance centers and overseas offices at consulates around the world.
Major U.S. Floor Covering Industry Associations
The American Floorcovering Alliance, Inc. was established in
1979 to assist the carpet industry in promoting their products
and to provide members with the cost-saving programs necessary
for 
expanding their
businesses. The American Floorcovering Alliance also
recruits U.S. firms to participate in a joint stand at
DOMOTEX.

National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA)- is a non-profit
association that represents all segments of the hardwood flooring
industry including manufacturers, distributors, retailers,
and installers. This organization provides training and
resources for woodflooring professionals to ensure the quality of
their product or service.
