Witness Information Services A subpoena is a court order that requires a witness to attend court and tell the truth. You may be subpoenaed to testify as a witness in a criminal case if you were the victim of a crime, saw what happened, or have other information related to a case. If you receive a subpoena, immediately call the office that issued your subpoena. If you were subpoenaed by the King County Prosecutor's Office, call the phone number for the paralegal listed on the subpoena. Witness Information
