The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute is pleased to support Learn About COPD Days, November 13 through 16, 2008. Celebrated in honor of COPD Awareness Month and on behalf of NHLBI’s COPD Learn More Breathe Better campaign, each of these 4 days has a designated “theme” for COPD outreach and activities:

Thursday, November 13 and Friday, November 14 – Health Professional Outreach
Partners in the healthcare community will present grand rounds, lectures, and seminars on COPD.

Saturday, November 15 – Community Outreach
Partners will host screenings and presentations at community centers, shopping malls, health fairs, and other forums that touch those who are at-risk as well as patients and their caregivers in local communities.

Sunday, November 16 – Faith-Based Outreach
Partners will host screenings and presentations held in conjunction with faith-based organizations and caregiver support groups.
