Resource Committee
The pilot phase of the Local Fisheries Knowledge Project
has been developed with involvement from a committee of
twelve representatives from a variety of fields:
- Academics and NOAA Fisheries personnel with expertise
in the fields of anthropology, traditional ecological
knowledge, fisheries science, and fisheries management
- Local fishermen
- Educators

Member Profiles
Rural School and Community Trust
The Rural
School and Community Trust (RSCT)  is
a nonprofit education organization assisting rural communities
to improve their schools. It uses the place-based education
model to support this work.
The RSCT works directly with participating educators from Ellsworth
and Jonesport-Beals High Schools to design a place-based curriculum
around the LFK Project framework.
