Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center has annual "Ears, Hearing, and Beyond" conference at the University of Washington Campus.

The Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) conducts its Course Director Workshop in Philadelphia, Pa.

January 2004

Dangerous Decibels - The Oregon Health & Science University receives a Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) from NIDCD, Health Communication Research: NIHL and Tinnitus Prevention.

Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) Science Festivals include Dangerous Decibels exhibit activities at exhibitions in community and regional fairs across California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.

Nineteenth issue of WISE EARS!^® News is distributed to coalition members.

WISE EARS!^® goes to 12 health fairs reaching out to over 17,000 participants within the Hispanic/Latino/Latina community and 22 Radio Unica programs reaching over 500,000 Hispanic/Latino/Latina listeners in12 cities.
