APIDS: AIDS Public Information Data Set - Software Package

Instructions (Read this first)
  • Minimum requirements for installation:
    • Windows 95 or greater
    • 80486 CPU
    • 32 MB RAM
    • 50Mb of free disk space
      (The installation file can be erased once installation is complete....this recovers about 10Mb of disk space)
  • Run the APIDS02.EXE located in this folder.
  • You may change the drive and directory to which the AIDS Public Information Data Set will be extracted.
  • If you want to be able to run the program from the Start Menu, be sure "Create program group(s): AIDS Public Information Data Set" is checked.
  • Click on Extract.
  • After the AIDS Public Information Data Set program has successfully been extracted, run it by clicking on Start and locating and clicking on the AIDS Public Information Data Set in the Programs group. You can also locate the AIDS Public Information Data Set using My Computer or Windows Explorer and double click on its icon. The first time the program is run, it will perform a setup/indexing process that will take up to a few minutes to complete.
  • In order to save disk space, the file APIDS02.EXE can be deleted.

Download and install

  • Download APIDS02.EXE to a directory on a local drive (i.e., C:\AIDSPIDS).
  • Run APIDS02.EXE and it will be decompressed creating appropriate files.
